July 6^th, 2012 marks the kick-off to the World's Greatest Outdoor Show, the Calgary Stampede. The preliminary schedule of last years, 2011 Stampede Parade Line-up let you know just what was arriving next. The 2012 Line-up will be posted just as soon as it is available.

The sidewalks along 6 and 9 Avenues are available to the general public on a first come first served basis. Private seating is also available, thus allowing a guaranteed place to view the parade. The 31^st scout group provides such private seating as a fund raising operation. Volunteer assisted for over 30 years, consider joining us again this year and support Youth as they pursue their scouting activities.

2012 Calgary Stampede and Exhibition

31st Scout Group provides over 900 bleacher style seats for the opening day parade on the morning of Friday July 6th.There are the many reasons why folks return year after year to join in our fun spectator event.
Consider the advantages our seating provides:

This is your opportunity to support the youth scouting movement

Our seats will have your back to the sun (best for photos), since it never rains on a parade.

The view is fantastic, offering close to 3 hours of non stop western parade action.

Children are provided seating in a securely enclosed non public area, monitored by Scouting personnel.

Alternative ground level, child size benches are provided for youth aged 4 to 8 yrs, located in front of our of our street side fence. Youth must have purchased regular seats in the stands even if they plan to sit near the fence.

All seats are contained in our enclosed area with no public access.

We feel our seats are the best in town for location and hospitality

31st Scout Group Parade Seats, are available on line now. Tickets are available with 2 types of seating to choose from. That is seats located on the front 3 rows or seats located on the back 3 rows.
As you can see in the figure below the front 3 rows are lowest to the street, allowing for easy access for those folks perhaps less agile. The back 3 rows require a bit more of a climb, however the view is considered worth the effort. The decision is yours, both offer a fantastic view of the worlds greatest Stampede Parade! This year celebrating 100Years of Stampede Fun!

The Calgary Stampede parade offers Calgarians and visitors alike a taste of the Wild Wild West. For the entire morning Cowboys, Indians, floats and marching bands proceed through the city center parade route. The caliber of this western style parade is unmatched anywhere in the world.

Our 31^st scout group is located in North West Calgary. We are part of "Area 9" or the "Nose hill area". Southern Alberta Scouting is governed by Chinook Council, and is part of Scouts Canada, a member of "The World Organization of the Scout Movement"( WOSM).
